Experience Chihuly at the Biltmore in Asheville

The Biltmore Estate is one of the premier attractions for almost any visitor to the greater Asheville area, but there are certain times when it becomes something truly spectacular. Maybe you’ve visited during Biltmore in Bloom, where every spring, orchids, tulips, hyacinths, and over 100,000 bulbs awaken to life to create an exhibition of unparalleled color. You may have visited the Biltmore from November to January when the Estate is lavishly decorated with tremendous holiday detail, shining and glittering during the Christmas season. However, this summer the Biltmore is showcasing a dazzling and exciting event that you will not want to miss.

Through October 17th, 2018, visitors to Biltmore Estate will be treated to a visual delight through the work of renowned glass artist, Dale Chihuly.  If you are already a fan, you have probably heard of his installations of glass and light all over the world. If you don’t know his awe-inspiring work, then this is the ideal time to discover Chihuly at the Biltmore. This is the first art exhibit in the history of the Biltmore Estate to take place in their gardens, and also the first garden exhibit of Chihuly’s works.

As Chihuly fans for years, we think this is one of the most unique and unforgettable settings to view the intricate glasswork of this spectacular artist. The exquisite gardens at the Biltmore were designed and planted for this season to enhance the Chihuly exhibit with color and texture. If you are planning to visit Chihuly at the Biltmore, we highly recommend taking advantage of both the Chihuly Daytime & Chihuly Nights experiences.  Each part of the day affords visitors a different perspective on the artwork, and gives you more time to enjoy everything else the Biltmore has to offer including a self guided tour of the house, access to the extensive grounds, complimentary wine tasting, and a visit to Antler’s Village.

Don’t miss out on your chance to view the work a true American treasure in one of the most gorgeous natural settings in the country. Tickets are available in advance by clicking either of the above links for either daytime or evening visits. Make it an ideal Asheville getaway with a stay at 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage.
