The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Surround yourself with the authentic look and feel of the 1889 WhiteGate Inn's original master bedroom, with its red-hued walls, polished hardwood floors and period furniture, including a Chippendale desk circa 1790.

This traditional bedroom also offers plenty of modern amenities. The original 1889 fireplace comes equipped with gas logs that flare at the flip of a switch, so you and a companion can bask in the warm, inviting glow. An HDLCD flat screen TV with DVD is discreetly tucked away.

After a day of shopping in downtown Asheville, soak in the original master bathroom's china tub and shower. Then nestle in the queen size bed with its feather bed overlay, down comforter and duvet. Whether or not you've taken the road less traveled, you're guaranteed to wake up feeling refreshed.
