The Asheville Urban Trail is an exciting (and historical) way to see much of our lovely downtown. The tour is a mere 1.7 miles and will thrust you into the deep history starting with the Gilded Age through the Age of Diversity.
The trail system above Montreat College boasts over 20 miles of hiking trails on 2500 pristine acres.
